Ken Spiker was elected to the
LACERS Board of Administration for a five-year
term in September 1995 and re-elected in 2000.
Mr. Spiker served 28 years with
the City of Los Angeles. During this time, he
opened the City’s first Legislative Advocacy
office in the State Capitol in Sacramento and
in Washington D.C. He retired in 1984 from his
position of Chief Legislative Analyst. Ken also
served 28 years as a U.S. Air Force pilot and
retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Mr. Spiker first attended Carnegie
Tech University and later received his Bachelor
of Arts degree from the School of Public Administration
at the University of Southern California.
