Dan Gallagher began his investment career with LACERS in 1985, and is currently LACERS' Chief Investment Officer. His responsibilities include managing investment advisory, consultant, and custodial relationships, and overseeing performance evaluation, vendor selection, investment policy, and strategy development and implementation.

Mr. Gallagher's undergraduate studies were in Experimental and Physiological Psychology and in Communications at Queens College, of the City University of New York. He pursued his Graduate study in Business at California State University, Northridge and is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist from the Wharton School.
