As a LACERS Chief Benefits Analyst, Mark Blunk heads up the Retirement Services Division. In this position, he manages the counseling staff providing LACERS Members with information and services relating to Service Retirements, Disability Retirements, Survivor Benefits, Dissolution Benefits, Service Credit Purchases, Reciprocal Benefits with other governmental agencies, and other customer-related retirement benefits issues.

Mr. Blunk began his career with the City of Los Angeles in 1990 and has previously worked for LACERS, City Controller, Los Angeles Police Department, Office of the City Clerk, and Department of Water and Power.

Mr. Blunk obtained a Master of Business Administration, with an option in Information Systems, earning Special Recognition in Graduate Studies from California State University, Los Angeles. He also has a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, with an option in Computer Science.
