Korean Delegation Visits LACERS

On October 5, 2005, a delegation of 22 Korean local government officials, accompanied by Counsel Koo, visited the Controller's Office and LACERS. The delegates were led by Mr. Tae Kyu Lim of the Korean Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs and advised by Professor Jong Ryul Shin, Ph.D. They visited Los Angeles with the intent of learning about the City's accounting system in an effort to compare and improve their own accounting systems in Korea. LACERS Assistant General Manager Sally Choi and Chief Accountant Li Hsi briefed the Korean visitors on LACERS' policies and procedures, while Senior Accountant Mikyong Jang served as an interpreter.
