Five Candidates in June 24th Run-off Election for LACERS Retired-Member
Board Seat
The June 24th ballot will have the names of the following
candidates:
Ken Spiker
Gary Mattingly
Thomas Meyer
Zbyslaw J. Petryka
Dwight Coffelt
Incumbent Ken Spiker led the May 27th nominating election
for LACERS’ Retired-Member Board seat with 2,987 votes or 82%
of the total 3,657 votes tallied. Gary Mattingly finished second with
599 votes or 16% of the total vote count. Dwight Coffelt was third
with 46 votes (1%) and Zbyslaw J. Petryka was fourth with 16 votes
(.4%). Nine candidates tied for fifth with one vote apiece. Lots were
drawn to see who among the nine write-in candidates would appear as
the fifth name on the ballot and Thomas Meyer’s name was picked.
