The City of Los Angeles Department on Disability presents its seventh annual "Accessible City Expo," a FREE community resources and employment fair, on Thursday, October 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, the Expo will feature: job opportunities; employment training and placement services; emergency preparedness information; low-income home purchasing programs; accessible design for the home and workplace; service providers; assistive technology; health screenings; confidential HIV rapid-testing; and much more - all in one convenient location. In addition, workshops will be conducted by Jobing.com on "How To Go Job(b)ing Online," the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on "Home Modification and Financing Programs," and the Los Angeles Fire Department on "Emergency Preparedness." WorkSource California will be available with its career mobile unit with 11 computer workstations for on-site r esume assistance. This event is an all-inclusive and all-abilities event . . . everyone is welcome!
