Back Contributions

Back Contributions allow active LACERS members to purchase service credit for full-time or part-time regular City employment during which they were not LACERS members or making contributions to LACERS. This can include periods of seasonal and temporary employment while a participant of the Pension Savings Plan. It does not include periods of time as a contractor with the City.

To apply to purchase service credit through a Back Contribution for other than times of participation with the Pension Savings Plan, please complete and return the Application to Purchase Previous City Service form.

To apply to purchase service credit through a Back Contribution times of participation with the Pension Savings Plan, please complete and return the Certification of Service With the Pension Savings Plan form.
