Service Buybacks
The Government Service Buyback program allows active LACERS members
to purchase service credit for:
- periods
of full-time service with other governmental entities; and
- periods
of uncompensated maternity leave from the City.

To apply to purchase service credit other than for an uncompensated
maternity leave under the Government Service Buyback program, please
complete and return the Certification
of Service form.
