Tom Moutes has been named Assistant General Manager. He previously
served as Interim Assistant General Manager and as Divison Manager
of Administrative Services prior to his appointment. Tom replaces
Sally Choi who moved to the Mayor’s Offi ce as Deputy Mayor of Finance
and Performance Management. Li Hsi, former Division Manager of
Retirement Services is now Division Manager of Administrative Services.

Chief Benefits Analys in charge of the Retirement Services Division. Mark returns to LACERS from the Department of Water and Power.
LACERS joined Mayor Antonio
Villaraigosa in his call for an end to
the genocide in Darfur by agreeing
to divest the city’s pension funds from
companies that do business with the
government of Sudan. LACERS has
divested $3.5 million in holdings
from two companies.
LACERS along with Fire and Police
Pensions Fund and Los Angeles
County Employees’ Retirement
Association will invest in the Genesis
Fund II, a workforce housing
development at Puerta del Sol
Condominiums in Lincoln Heights.
LACERS has invested $20 million.
LACERS employees formed a
WalkAmerica team to raise money
for the March of Dimes on April 28,
2007. LACERS raised more than
$5,000 for the March of Dimes.
