Department on Disability Community Resources & Employment Fair - October 12, 2005

The Department on Disability is holding its sixth annual Community Resources and Retirement Fair on October 12, 2005, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Department on Disability is dedicated to providing the disability community, L.A. City employees, persons with disabilities and their families, caregivers, friends and employers with valuable information and resources regarding disability programs, community-based organizations, employment opportunities, and to showcase the latest in assistive technology. This year, "The Accessible City Expo - Community Resources and Employment Fair" has many exciting programs for attendees, including free health screenings and confidential HIV rapid-testing, opportunities to view modified vans and vehicles, giveaways at exhibit booths, and the opportunity to enter into the Expo's raffles, all while being entertained by live musical performances. The Expo is being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center West Hall B, and both admittance and parking are free with a copy of the Department on Disability's flier, and parking is $10.00 without the flier (click here to view and print the English or Spanish version).
