Police Officer Recruitment Incentive Program (PORIP)

Do you know someone who deserves to wear the Los Angeles Police Department badge? The Los Angeles Police Department and Personnel Department are convinced you do.

The City of Los Angeles will pay a $1,000 incentive to eligible* Current and Retired City employees who refer candidates for Police Officer or Reserve Police Officer.

The process is very easy:

1. Recruit a Police Officer Candidate

2. Fill out the PORIP card

3. Submit PORIP card to Personnel Dept no later than 30 days after the candidate first takes the first physical abilities test
