Alternate Investments - Private Equity, Venture Capital

Emerging Markets - Stocks in companies located in emerging, rapidly growing countries around the world. These countries are typically in the early development stages of economic growth.

2004 Specialized Investments - Investments within the alternative and real estate investment asset classes that may include, but are not limited to, those managed by emerging managers (i.e., smaller partnerships or experienced investment professionals raising their first institutional fund), funds focused on underserved markets, demographically targeted partnerships or markets, geographically targeted partnerships or markets, minority owned firms, Los Angeles owned/based firms, etc. They may exhibit a higher level of complexity or be a concept that is novel to the institutional marketplace.

Corporate Governance Funds - Funds that utilize a variety of strategies to bring forth greater value from underlying publicly traded portfolio companies, to include (but not limited to) having board representation, taking significant shareholder positions, board or management advocacy, aligning its interests with fellow shareholders, and proxy voting.

Emerging Manager Fund of Funds - An investment fund that is diversified by holding a portfolio of other investment funds that are generally smaller in assets under management, minority-owned or woman-owned, and/or managed by newly formed teams of experienced investment professionals.
