for Information (RFI)

Subject: FUND OF FUNDS OF EMERGING
MANAGERS - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
Dear Proposer:
The Los Angeles City Employees'
Retirement System (LACERS), an $8.3 billion fund, is seeking
proposals from managers actively managing fund of funds of emerging
managers.
To be considered, managers must
currently actively manage fund of funds of emerging managers
for institutional clients of at least $250 million in said mandate.
The firm must have at least a two-year AIMR compliant performance
history for the period ending December 31, 2004 managing fund
of funds of emerging managers. Consideration will be given to
minority- and women-owned firms to ensure that women and minorities
have an opportunity to participate.
LACERS requires all
proposers to submit the following documents in order to participate
in the RFI: 1) Electronic Response in Word Format; 2) Electronic
Response Spreadsheet; 3) Affirmative Action Program Form; 4)
Americans with Disabilities Act Form; 5) Vendor Child Care
Policy Form; and 6) Child Support Obligations Form. All documents
may be downloaded from LACERS website at www.lacers.org .
Electronic responses on the Excel spreadsheet and Word format
must be received at LACERS at lacers1@mindspring.com no
later than 4:00 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, Friday, April 22,
2005. Fourteen hardcopies of the RFI responses to the questionnaire
along with the four completed City forms (one original set
only) are due by 4:00 P.M., Pacific Standard Time, Friday,
April 22, 2005 and sent to:
