SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR ACTIVE INTERMEDIATE-DURATION FIXED-INCOME
INVESTMENTS MANAGER SERVICES
Dear Proposer:
The Los Angeles City Employees'
Retirement System (LACERS) is requesting proposals
to use as a basis for contracting with an investment
manager with expertise in actively managing Intermediate-Duration
Fixed-Income portfolios for U.S. public pension plans.
To be considered, managers must
currently manage active intermediate-duration fixed-income
assets for institutional clients. Managers should
currently actively manage separate accounts totaling
at least $1 billion in total fixed income assets
under management in said mandate and at least $200
million in assets designated in active intermediate-duration
fixed-income strategies. The firm must have at least
a three-year live (i.e., not simulated), AIMR compliant
performance history for the period ending June 30,
2004 using the active intermediate-duration fixed-income
strategy.
The selected manager must be available
for presentations to, and consultations with, the
Board on issues relating to fixed-income fund investments.
LACERS requires all proposers to
submit an approved Affirmative Action Plan and Vendor
Child Care questionnaire, a Certification of Compliance
with Child Support Obligations, and an American With
Disabilities Certification. These documents can be
