LACERS recently hosted international delegations from Japan and Russia. LACERS is frequently sought out by international officials as an example of a successful defined benefit plan. Both delegations were presented a comprehensive look at how LACERS administers its retirement plan.

On November 7, 2007, LACERS celebrated its 70th Anniversary at the Rotunda at City Hall. More than 600 LACERS Members stopped by to celebrate and learn about retirement.
