LACERS Board of Administration

The Board manages and administers the City Employees' Retirement Fund, invests the Fund's assets, determines the health providers and coverage for retired employees, and approves members' retirement applications including applications for disability retirements. The Board meets on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of every month.

    Rick Rogers Rick Rogers - President; Elected by Active Members
    Current Term - 07/01/2008 - 06/30/2013

    Rick Rogers was first elected to the Board of Administration of the Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System by active LACERS Members for a five-year term  on July 1, 2003. He was then re-elected for another five-year term on July 1, 2008. Commissioner Rogers serves on the Audit & Strategic Planning Committee.

    Robert A. Chick - Vice President; Appointed by the Mayor
    Current Term - 8/20/2010 - 06/30/2015

    Robert A. Chick was appointed to the Board of Administration of the Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System by Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa. Commissioner Chick serves as Chair of the Audit & Strategic Planning Committee, and as a member of the Benefits Administration Committee.


    Ken Spiker Ken Spiker - Commissioner; Elected by Retired Members
    Current Term - 07/01/2010 – 06/30/2015

    Ken Spiker was first elected to the Board of Administration of the Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System by retired LACERS Members for a five-year term in September 1995.  He was then re-elected for three more five-year terms in 2000, 2005 and 2010. Commissioner Spiker serves as Chair of the Benefits Administration Committee.


    Elizabeth L. Greenwood Elizabeth L. Greenwood - Commissioner; Elected by Active Members
    Current Term - 07/01/2009 - 06/30/2014

    Elizabeth L. Greenwood was elected to the Board of Administration of the Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System by active LACERS Members for a five-year term on July 1, 2009. Commissioner Greenwood serves as Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee, and as a member of the Audit & Strategic Planning Committee.



    Kenneth M. Simril Kenneth M. Simril – Commissioner; Appointed by the Mayor
    Current Term - 12/12/2012 – 06/30/2014

    Kenneth M. Simril was appointed to the Board of Administration of the Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System by Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa.  Commissioner Simril serves on the Corporate Governance Committee.



    Vacant Barker Khorasanee - Commissioner; Appointed by the Mayor
    Current Term - 04/10/2010 – 06/30/2016

    Barker Khorasanee was appointed to the Board of Administration by Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa for the term ending June 30, 2016.  This position is required to be filled by a Retired City Employee.  

     


    Michael F. Keeley Michael F. Keeley - Commissioner; Appointed by the Mayor

    Michael F. Keeley was appointed to the Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System (LACERS) Board of Administration by Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa in May 2013.  Mr. Keeley previously served on the Board of Administration in 2012.
