As of the December 2016 payroll:

  • Less than 20% (18.13%) of our Service Retirees have pensions that are 75% or more of their Final Compensation. 
    • An employee would have to work more than 34.72 years to achieve a pension worth at least 75% of Final Compensation.
  • Less than 10% (8.49%) of our Service Retirees have pensions that are 80% or more of their Final Compensation. 
    • An employee would have to work more than 37.03 years to achieve a pension worth at least 80% of Final Compensation.
  • Less than one third of a percent (0.26%) of our Service Retirees have pensions that equal 100% of their Final Compensation. 
    • An employee would have to work more than 46.29 years to achieve a pension worth 100% of their Final Compensation.
  • None of our Retirees have pensions that exceed 100% of their Final Compensation because that is not allowable under our plan provisions.
  • 775 (or approximately 6.3%) of the Members receiving a Service Retirement had a Retirement Allowance of $100,000 or more per year.
