You may use “full reciprocity” service toward ERIP eligibility. LACERS would have taken your reciprocal service into consideration when determining your ERIP eligibility if your:

• transfer into City employment happened on or after July 14, 1997; and
• reciprocal time was certified to LACERS prior to November 2, 2009

It is unlikely that there is enough time for reciprocity to be established as part of an ERIP retirement, if you did not initiate the process already.
