For All LACERS Peace Officer Members Who Are Eligible for the LAFPP Transfer Opportunity

On Friday, October 31, 2025, the City Council of Los Angeles adopted Measure FF, which allows for the voluntary transfer of certain sworn public safety officers from LACERS to LAFPP Tier 6.

To ensure that all LACERS Peace Officer Members who are eligible for the transfer opportunity have access to the necessary information to make an informed decision that benefits them and their families, LACERS has been collaborating with LAFPP on a series of virtual Measure FF Transfer Opportunity Counseling Sessions.

These sessions will begin on November 10 and end on January 5.

Eligible PSOs can RSVP to attend one of these sessions by clicking on the training session that best suits your schedule.

1) Attend a mandatory counseling session; and,

2) File an election form with LACERS by January 9, 2026.

Once the form is submitted, your election to transfer to LAFPP Tier 6 is irrevocable. Failure to submit your election form by the January 9, 2026, deadline will result in you remaining a LACERS Member by default. A digital copy of the Transfer Election Form, which can be electronically submitted, will be available after the first training session, at LACERS.ORG/FF.
