Angels of Los Angeles Volunteer Program is working with individual City Departments to place a select number of former City of Los Angeles employees in positions where their institutional knowledge and expertise will be of greatest value. Volunteers are asked to give at least eight hours a week for at least a year to help the City maintain vital services during these challenging budgetary times.
“We know former City employees are tremendous assets and in many cases, have at least 30 years of experience in public service,” said Jacob Motta, Office of the Mayor.
“We want to let them know that they are still an important part of the City family and right now, their family needs them to volunteer to help maintain the Los Angeles that they built during their former careers,” said Motta.
