Form 1099-R

LACERS will mail Retired Members their IRS Form 1099-R (Distribution from Pensions, Annuities, Retirement, etc.) by the end of January 2012. Members who do not receive their 1099-Rs by February 15 should contact LACERS to request a new one. Regenerating a 1099-R may require a few working days to process.

Please note, if there is a dollar amount in "Box 5" of your 1099-R it is your pension contributions that were made on a post-tax basis and therefore, the amount stated is excluded from your taxable income for tax year 2011.

Also, Retirees who recently moved should contact LACERS to update their address information.
