Tier 3 Members
If you retired and became a LACERS Member on or
after February 21, 2016, be sure to review
the 2026 Health Benefits Guide Supplement - Tier 3. It includes important details about
premiums, subsidies, and allowance deduction information that
apply to you. For general health plan eligibility information,
please refer to the 2026 Health Benefits Guide.
Tier 1 Capped Subsidy
If you are a Tier 1 Member who retired on or after July 1, 2011,
and did not make additional retirement
contributions toward retiree health care, your subsidy has been
capped at the 2011 subsidy rate. The
2026 Health Benefits Guide Supplement - Tier 1 Capped contains information for retirees whose medical
subsidy was “capped” due to changes made to the Administrative
Code in 2011.
