DOCUMENT ACCESSIBILITY FOR ALL – NOW ON LACERS.ORG
We’re excited to announce that the LACERS website now features DocAccess, a new tool that enhances accessibility for every PDF document on our website.
What is DocAccess?
DocAccess is a tool that improves how you view and interact with PDFs on our site by making them:
- Accessible – Converts text into a clean, screen‑reader‑friendly format, provides detailed alt text for images, and transcribes complex tables.
- Searchable – Allows you to quickly find the information you’re looking for within any document.
- Assistive – Offers helpful features like enhanced screen‑reader support and simplified navigation.
With DocAccess, our documents are now more inclusive, user-friendly, and aligned with modern accessibility standards, helping all users get information faster and more easily. If you encounter any accessibility issues while using our website, please submit a Web Accessibility Issue Form, which can be found in the footer of our website and in our Web and Mobile App Accessibility Statement.

MEET LACERS AT CITY HALL FARMERS’ MARKET
Come visit the LACERS team at the City Hall Farmers’ Market every Wednesday! It’s a quick and easy way for Active Members to get general retirement questions answered on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

IN-PERSON TIER 1 RETIREMENT BENEFITS SEMINAR AT LACERS
Saturday, May 30th, 9:00 a.m.

This half-day seminar covers the LACERS Tier 1 retirement formula, retirement allowance benefit, health benefits, survivor benefits, mental preparedness, and what to expect at retirement. It will be held in person at LACERS. Parking is free, and light snacks will be provided.
