LACERS’ BOARD OFFICERS ELECTED

Commissioner Annie Chao and Commissioner Sung Won Sohn were elected President and Vice President, respectively, at the July 25, 2023 meeting, to lead the LACERS Board of Administration for the term ending in July 2024. Election for Employee Member of Board Update
Newly re-elected Commissioner Liz Lee was sworn in for a five-year term beginning July 1, 2023. Liz Lee was re-elected to the Board by Active Members, with 72.73% of the votes cast in her favor during the election that was held on April 14, 2023.
Election for the Office of Employee-Member of the Board of Administration
The deadline for filing Nominating Petitions has
passed.
A ballot, voting instructions, and candidate qualifications for
the Election for the Office of the Employee-Member of the Board
of Administration will be mailed on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, to
Active Members.
Deadline to File Nominating Petitions and the Qualification Statement Form is March 3
Friday, March 3, 2023, at 5:00 p.m., is the deadline for submitting Nominating Petitions and Qualification Statement Forms for the Election for the Employee-Member of the Board of Administration for the Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System (LACERS). Nominating petitions for the Office of Employee-Member of the LACERS Board of Administration will be available at City Clerk – Election Division, 555 Ramirez Street, Space 300, Los Angeles, CA 90012, during regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Are you an Active LACERS Member? Would you like to run for a seat
on the LACERS Board of Administration? If you answered “Yes”
to both questions, then you will need to take the first step and
file a nominating petition.
Beginning Friday, February 17, 2023, nominating petitions for the
Office of Employee-Member of the LACERS Board of Administration
will be available at City Clerk – Election Division, 555 Ramirez
Street, Space 300, Los Angeles, CA 90012, during regular office
hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Candidates may
email clerk.electionAdmin@lacity.org to
set-up an appointment to pick-up Nominating Petitions.
Appointments are not required, but are recommended.
