Upcoming City Holiday: LACERS is closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

This free event, onsite at LACERS’ Office (977 N. Broadway), includes:

  • In-person instruction with content tailored to part-time/half-time City employees who are LACERS Members.
  • Opportunities for you to connect personally with experts from our Service Purchase, Health, Legal, and Service Retirement Divisions to learn about your benefit options.
  • Time to speak with Representatives from LA457, the City’s Deferred Compensation provider, and reps from the Employees’ Club.
  • Refreshments and exclusive LACERS swag items while supplies last!

HAVE YOU SIGNED UP FOR THE FAMILY DEATH BENEFIT PLAN?

The Family Death Benefit Plan (FDBP) is a voluntary program that provides a monthly financial benefit that may give your family increased financial protection should you pass away before retiring. An employee becomes eligible for membership in the FDBP after 18 months of City Service. There is a nominal cost per pay period to participate.
