Recreation and Parks Measure FF Mandatory Counseling Session

On Friday, October 31, 2025, the City Council of Los Angeles adopted Measure FF, which allows for the voluntary transfer of certain sworn public safety officers from LACERS to LAFPP Tier 6.

To ensure that all LACERS Peace Officer Members who are eligible for the transfer opportunity have access to the necessary information to make an informed decision that benefits them and their families, LACERS has been collaborating with the Recreation and Parks Department on a Measure FF Transfer Opportunity Counseling Session.

To transfer from LACERS to LAFPP Tier 6, you must:

1) Attend a mandatory counseling session; and,

2) File an election form with LACERS by January 9, 2026.

Once the form is submitted, your election to transfer to LAFPP Tier 6 is irrevocable. Failure to submit your election form by the January 9, 2026, deadline will result in you remaining a LACERS Member by default. A digital copy of the Transfer Election Form, which can be electronically submitted, will be available after the training session, at LACERS.ORG/FF.
