Disaster Preparedness Classes
Facilitated by St. Barnabas Senior Services
LACERS Well has partnered with St. Barnabas Senior Services to facilitate our first series of disaster preparedness classes. The classes will be held virtually via Zoom, with the last class in September being in person at the Friendship Auditorium, 3201 Riverside Dr., Los Angeles. Members will learn how to prepare before, during, and after a natural disaster.
Disaster Preparedness: Earthquakes, Floods and Storms - Tuesday, August 5, 2025 @ 10 am – 12 noon
In this class, you’ll learn practical steps to prepare for
  floods, severe
storms, and earthquakes. We’ll cover how to make an emergency
plan, how to build a disaster supply kit, and protect your home
  and
loved ones. You’ll also learn what to do during and after
  these
events to stay safe and recover more quickly.
Disaster Preparedness: Pack a To-Go Bag - Tuesday, September 16, 2025 @ 11 am - 12:30 (in-person) Arroyo Seco Branch Library 6145 N. Figueroa St. L.A. C.A. 90042
Most disasters are unexpected and can happen quickly, leaving
  little
time to react. That’s why it’s crucial to pack essential items
  for each
member of your household and store them in an Emergency Go-Bag.
An Emergency Go-Bag contains vital supplies to help you and
  your
family stay safe and survive during any type of disaster or
emergency situation. Being prepared can make all the
  difference
  when every second counts.
