Understand Your Survivor Benefit Options: An Informational Webinar for Active Tier 1 and Tier 3 Members

Survivor Benefits are paid upon a Member’s death to their designated beneficiary. Designated beneficiaries may be entitled to certain benefits contingent on the following:

  • Whether the member was an active, retired*, or a deferred member; 
  • The member’s relationship to the survivor; and
  • Whether the member designated beneficiaries with LACERS

These details and more will be explained during this webinar.  

*The information presented in this webinar will apply to Tier 1 and Tier 3 Active Members only. Survivor Benefit Options for Retired and Enhanced Members will not be discussed during this presentation.
