There’s Still Time: Attend a 2022 Open Enrollment Virtual Meeting
Open Enrollment will end on November 15. Don’t miss your chance to attend any of the remaining virtual Open Enrollment meetings available for you to learn about changes for 2022 and your health plan options. The virtual meetings are health carrier specific and will be held on the following dates at 10:00 a.m.:
Open Enrollment Ended November 15
Open Enrollment took place from October 15 to November 15, 2021.
Retired Members under age 65 received an Open Enrollment statement, the Open Enrollment Overview and instructions on how to access the 2022 Health Benefits Guide online. Retired Members age 65 and over received a printed copy of the 2022 Health Benefits Guide in their packet.

2022 Open Enrollment is Coming
Open Enrollment will be held October 15 to November 15, 2021. This is the time to enroll in a plan, change your plan, or add dependents with changes taking effect January 1, 2022. For those who made enrollment changes effective on or after February 1, 2021, unless you have a qualifying event, your next opportunity to request a change will be October 2022 during the 2023 Open Enrollment period.

We are pleased to announce that the new online Retirement Application Portal (RAP) has launched! Tier 1 Members retiring in September 2021 and beyond can now apply for retirement using the secure and convenient portal.

2021 Cost of Living Adjustment Effective July 1
Each year the LACERS Board of Administration determines a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for eligible LACERS Retired Members and Beneficiaries. The COLA is a reflection of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the Los Angeles Area, which has been determined to be 1.6% for 2021.
